They do it for thrills.
They put invisibility jackets on and stroll across highways: breath catching in their throats as the cars, unaware, make no effort to slow or swerve.
Today is my first time to try it.
Unseen, I glide between gleaming behemoths, absorbing their deafening thunder. I laugh.
Finally, I am alive.
