Van Gogh’s School

by Gavin Williams

She was beautiful. He sent flowers. And chocolates. Being an artist, he sent paintings and sketches. He tried (bad) poetry. When she was indifferent, he tried jewellery and furs.

Running out of ideas, he sent a finger. And then three toes. Proving his love through effort and sacrifice. Now that’s commitment.
