A Matter of Time

by J.D. Ray

It used to be normal. It used to be accepted. Now I'm a fugitive, running from the law. In the year 2525 the law was passed that made me a criminal. So now I run and hide and scrounge. One day they will catch me and my half-life will be over. I'm a Christian.

I just LOVE when majority populations have persecution fantasies.

So, here's the thing... If Christians would stop trying to legislate everyone else out of existence, they could stop being scared of everyone else trying to do it to them.

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

Agreed.

Also:
The concept has kind of been done before...

::headdesk:: Yeah... Chick tracts make me go blind with rage, but I think I got the point from the first few frames.

Nobody is trying to wipe the Christians out. We're not like you.

(Fortunately all Christians aren't like this. Just the loud ones.)

Jeez, this one certainly took some heat!

Also, trying to be a voice of reason here, I think it's important to note that Christianity itself, especially the teachings of Jesus, are pretty tolerant. And I think the "loud" Christians (as Lothie put it) are the vocal minority.

Or maybe I'm just a naive idealist who says, "Why can't we all just get along?"

You poor, naive bastard.

It depends on what you call a "Christian".

I'm not sure how compatible "Christian" and "politician" are...
