Phobos fears the layers of regolith coating his skin will spontaneously burst into flames, and consequently, expel him from orbit. His inability to reflect light is irrelevant. He’ll become sparks igniting the universe. When he impacts Mars, he’ll be like a wish made over a birthday cake forgotten the moment the candles are blown out.
