The sun peeked through nearby pillars and glinted off a sidewalk quarter, reminding me I'd left my bus money on the mantle. I turned around and this girl ran headlong into me.
It was only after she and I broke up that I thought back and realized how much I owed a sidewalk quarter, the architect behind those pillars, and the angle of the sun.
