He looked over her shoulder at the photo of a “friend” on her Facebook page.

“Who’s that?” he asked, as casually as he could.

We were in love.

I was going to leave you for him.

But she couldn’t tell him that so she shrugged and said simply,

“We used to work together years ago.”
