The city said she missed me. She told me this with a cool August and a job opening downtown, skyscraper-framed sunrises and the timely parting of Mass Pike traffic jams. Her wind tunnels whispered, "I forgive you leaving me for that girl. I knew you'd tire of her, but we are always forever."

I love the idea of cities taking on real character and emotion - but it also makes it kind of hard for an ordinary girl to live up to ;)
Well, Boston does have some dangerous curves, but it's an expensive date.
