Cloak and Dagger and Laser

by Robert Gryfft

"You!" Leonid drew his sword. "You dare set foot in this royal chamber?"

"My mistake, my prince." Zelathuctus lifted his raygun, smiling thinly. "I should have destroyed it from orbit."

The raygun flashed. Prince Leonid disappeared in a puff of smoke and ashes.

Zelathuctus sighed with satisfaction. "But that personal touch makes all the difference."

Some good pulp, or some good pulp parody? Maybe of this story? http://www.55aday.com/2009/07/duel.html Or maybe I'm being narcissistic?

Regardless, good story.
