Stairs

Left-right, left-right, down the back stairs. My perfect, balanced, 32-step front stairwell is under construction until Monday. Left-right, left-right… left. 29 steps, like chalkboard fingernails. Back up I run, to puke white-red on the landing. I’m trapped here this weekend, but the return to beauty will be worth it.
