by Robert Gryfft
I do not eulogize a great man. 'There are no great men', he said; 'only those upon whom others rely. They do their duty and die alone.' We owe him our lives, every moment; for he gave his unquestioningly. Without hesitation.
I eulogize a soldier. He would not have wanted it otherwise.
Fire the cannon.
