Basteal Day

by Proke Rasta Nader McGee

"Everything is free today." With those words I gave myself over to chaos, rejected the social structure in which I'd felt so trapped so long.

"Really?!" they universally asked as I handed them free cigarettes and candy.

The police came on the heels of the looters. The ride was over and my conscience was clear.
