Outdoor Dining

by Amy Burns

Québec murmurs around us as we sit at the café table, laughing as honeymooners do. A breeze picks up, sifting petals through air currents in dancing spirals of pink rain. The water in our glasses soon acquires a thin floral layer. The wind increases.

Our eyes meet over our menus; we say together: "Check please."
