Normal strange children see things others don't; I was terrified I wouldn't see things others did. I was afraid I'd get hit by a car only I couldn't see, or I'd waltz into an occupied bathroom without noticing.
Later, I found better defense mechanisms for my absentmindedness. But I still look three ways before crossing.
