"I got the scare of my life last night." He yawned.
"Aww. What happened?"
"A terrifying creature made unearthly sounds in my kitchen. When it slithered past my feet I screamed. Turns out it was my cat, not a body-snatching bloodsucker."
"Ha, really?"
"Nope." His tongue pierced her sternum and he began to feed.
